To request a letter of invitation which can be used as a supporting document send your request via e-mail to ssi17@alfred.edu please put VISA LETTER in the subject line.

PLEASE PROVIDE the following information:

• Complete name (as it appears on your passport)
• Date of birth
• Address and telephone number
• Purpose of the trip (i.e. presenting paper, attending conference)
• How long you will be staying - please provide arrival and departure dates
• Details on where you will be staying (name of hotel where you have a reservation)

Please check with your visa office and inquire whether or not the letter of invitation needs to be notarized. Requirements vary by country.
